Brief Overview
The fairy tale "Hop-o'-My-Thumb" tells the story of a poor woodcutter's family with seven sons. The youngest, Hop-o'-My-Thumb, was very small but clever and resourceful. One day, the parents, unable to feed their children, decided to abandon them in the forest. Hop-o'-My-Thumb, having overheard their plan, left a trail of white pebbles to find his way back home. When the parents tried to abandon the children again, Hop-o'-My-Thumb used breadcrumbs, but birds ate them. The brothers got lost and ended up at an ogre's house. Hop-o'-My-Thumb tricked the ogre, saved his brothers, and stole the ogre's seven-league boots. Thanks to his cleverness, he found a way to become wealthy and returned home with his brothers, securing the family's future.
