Summary
The novel «Beware of Pity» by Stefan Zweig tells the story of a young Austrian army lieutenant, Anton Hofmiller, who accidentally becomes acquainted with the wealthy Kekesfalva family. Anton begins visiting their home and grows close to the daughter, Edith, who suffers from paralysis.
