Brief Overview

The protagonist of the book, Ed Kennedy, is a young cab driver living in a small Australian town. His life changes when he accidentally foils a bank robbery. After this event, Ed starts receiving mysterious playing cards with tasks he must complete. Each task is aimed at helping the people around him and uncovering their secrets. As he completes these tasks, Ed begins to understand himself and his place in the world better.
