Main Characters and Their Development

• Lancelot - the protagonist, a knight who arrives in the town to fight the dragon. He symbolizes courage and the pursuit of justice. Throughout the plot, Lancelot faces internal and external obstacles but maintains his resolve and nobility.
• Dragon - the antagonist who rules the town and keeps its inhabitants in fear. He embodies tyranny and evil. Throughout the story, the Dragon demonstrates cunning and manipulative abilities but ultimately faces resistance.
• Elsa - the mayor's daughter, who is to be sacrificed to the Dragon. She symbolizes innocence and hope for a better future. Elsa undergoes an internal struggle but ultimately finds the strength to resist oppression.
• Mayor - Elsa's father, who initially supports the Dragon out of fear and a desire to maintain his power. However, as the plot develops, he begins to realize his mistakes and seeks to atone for them.
• Charlemagne - a cat who is Lancelot's friend and helps him in the fight against the Dragon. He symbolizes wisdom and loyalty.
