Summary

«Captain Blood» is a novel about the adventures of Dr. Peter Blood, who, after being unjustly accused of treason, is sentenced to a lifetime of slavery in a British colony. During a rebellion, Blood and other prisoners seize a Spanish ship and gain their freedom. Peter Blood becomes one of the most renowned pirates of the Caribbean, constantly shifting his status between pirate, privateer, and eventually admiral of the fleet. Ultimately, Blood proves his innocence, returns home, and marries the woman he loved from the start of his adventure, Arabella Bishop.
