Main Characters and Their Development

• Barbos — a yard dog who lives with his owner in a kennel. He is friendly and hospitable, inviting his friend Bobik over. Barbos shows Bobik his life and talks about his responsibilities. Throughout the story, Barbos displays his loyalty to his owner and his responsibility for guarding the yard.
• Bobik — a city dog who lives in an apartment. He is curious and somewhat naive, as he is unfamiliar with the life of yard dogs. Bobik visits Barbos and learns a lot about life outdoors. Through his interactions with Barbos, Bobik realizes that every dog has its own duties and life, and he begins to respect Barbos's hard work and dedication.
