• The King - Mio's father, who rules the magical land. He is a kind and wise ruler who loves his son and assists him in his adventures.
• Jum-Jum - Mio's best friend in the magical land. He is loyal and brave, always supporting Mio in his fight against evil.
• Knight Kato - the main antagonist of the book, an evil knight who threatens the magical land. He symbolizes the evil and fear that Mio must confront and overcome.
