The Last Battle

Summary

«The Last Battle» is the final book in C.S. Lewis's series, The Chronicles of Narnia. This book tells the story of the last battle for Narnia, as evil forces attempt to seize control of the land. An ape named Shift and his accomplice, a donkey named Puzzle, deceive the Narnians into believing they are acting on behalf of Aslan, the great lion and true ruler of Narnia. Meanwhile, King Tirian, the last king of Narnia, tries to rally forces to resist the invaders. Children from our world, who have been to Narnia in previous books, also join the battle. Ultimately, the true Aslan arrives to judge Narnia and bring it to an end, unveiling a new, eternal Narnia for those who remained faithful. The book concludes with the heroes finding peace and joy in the new Narnia, which reflects the true world created by Aslan.
