A Wizard of Earthsea

Brief Overview

«A Wizard of Earthsea» tells the story of a young boy named Ged, who possesses magical abilities. He grows up on the island of Gont and learns magic from a local witch. Soon, his talent is noticed by a powerful mage named Ogion, who takes him as an apprentice. However, Ged yearns for more and sets off to a school of wizardry on the island of Roke. There, due to his pride and recklessness, he unleashes a dark creature into the world, which begins to pursue him. Ged is forced to embark on a perilous journey to correct his mistake and defeat the shadow. Along the way, he learns humility, responsibility, and the true nature of magic. Ultimately, Ged confronts the shadow and defeats it, realizing it was a part of himself.
