Summary

The novel «A Farewell to Arms» tells the story of American Lieutenant Frederic Henry, who serves as an ambulance driver on the Italian front during World War I. He falls in love with British nurse Catherine Barkley. Their relationship develops amidst the horrors of war, and they seek solace in each other.
