Summary

The main character of the book, Colin Singleton, is a prodigy who is dealing with a breakup from his nineteenth girlfriend named Katherine. All his ex-girlfriends shared this name. In an attempt to cope with the pain, he embarks on a road trip with his best friend Hassan. During their journey, they end up in the small town of Gutshot, Tennessee, where they meet Lindsey Lee Wells. Colin decides to create a theorem that will predict the future of any romantic relationship. In the process, he learns to accept himself, his failures, and discovers new aspects of life and love.
