Main Characters and Their Development

• Ephraim Goodweather - an epidemiologist who leads the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. He becomes one of the key fighters against the vampire epidemic, evolving from a skeptic to a determined leader of the resistance.
• Abraham Setrakian - an elderly professor and concentration camp survivor who possesses deep knowledge about vampires. His experience and wisdom play a crucial role in combating the epidemic.
• Vasiliy Fet - a rat exterminator who joins the fight against vampires. He uses his skills and knowledge of urban infrastructure to battle the enemy.
• Nora Martinez - a colleague and love interest of Ephraim, who also works at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. She becomes an important member of the team fighting the epidemic.
• Thomas Eichhorst - the main antagonist, a former Nazi and one of the first vampires serving the Master. His ruthlessness and loyalty make him a dangerous foe.
