Main Characters and Their Development

• Emma Carstairs - The protagonist of the book, a young demon hunter. She is determined to avenge her parents' death and uncover the mystery of their murder. Along the way, she faces internal conflicts and develops her combat skills and emotional maturity.
• Julian Blackthorn - Emma's parabatai and one of the main characters. He takes care of his younger siblings after their parents' death. Julian struggles with his sense of responsibility and his feelings for Emma, adding depth to his character.
• Mark Blackthorn - Julian's older brother, who returns from captivity in Faerie. His return causes numerous conflicts and challenges as he tries to adjust to life among humans and rebuild relationships with his family.

• Livvy Blackthorn - Ty's twin sister, who supports him and assists in investigations. Livvy also grows as a character, showing her bravery and loyalty to her family.
