Main Characters and Their Development

• Cedric Errol - a young boy raised with love and care by his mother in America. Upon learning of his inheritance, he becomes Lord Fauntleroy, embodying purity, kindness, and honesty, transforming his grandfather, the Earl, for the better.
• Earl of Dorincourt - initially portrayed as a harsh, reclusive aristocrat who holds disdain for America and Americans. Under Cedric's influence, his grandson, the Earl gradually transforms, gaining a sense of compassion and love for life.
• Mrs. Errol (Dearest) - Cedric's mother, an exemplary woman full of love and patience, raising her son with the best human qualities. She plays a significant role in changing the Earl's attitude towards his grandson and life in general.
