Shadow and Bone

Brief Overview

In the book «Shadow and Bone» by Leigh Bardugo, we follow the story of Alina Starkov, an orphan and soldier who discovers an incredible power within herself that could save her country, Ravka, from darkness and destruction. When her regiment is attacked in the Shadow Fold, Alina reveals her hidden magical ability to summon light. She is taken to the royal palace to be trained as a Grisha, an elite mage. However, she faces intrigue, betrayal, and danger as she learns that her power could be used for evil purposes. Alina must find a way to control her power and decide whom she can trust to save Ravka and her loved ones.
