Main Characters and Their Development

• Sandy Shortt - the main character of the book, who has been obsessed with finding lost things and people since childhood. Her obsession began after the disappearance of her neighbor Jenny-May Butler. Sandy becomes a private detective specializing in finding missing people. During her work, she ends up in a mysterious place called 'Here', where all lost things and people are. In this place, Sandy confronts her own fears and experiences, which helps her reevaluate her life and understand the true reasons for her obsession.
• Jack Rains - a client of Sandy's who hires her to find his missing brother Don. Jack is a person who never loses hope and believes in the possibility of finding his brother. During the search, he becomes an important support for Sandy and helps her deal with the challenges she faces in 'Here'.
• Jenny-May Butler - the neighbor girl whose disappearance sparked Sandy's obsession with finding the lost. Although Jenny-May does not appear as an active character in the book, her influence on Sandy's life is felt throughout the narrative.
