Main Characters and Their Development

• Manuel Garcia O'Kelly-Davis (Manny) - the main character, an engineer and computer technician. Initially apolitical, he simply wants to live his life, but as the story progresses, he becomes a leader of the revolution and a fighter for the Moon's independence.
• Professor Bernardo de la Paz - an old and wise revolutionary who becomes Manny's mentor. He helps organize and guide the revolution using his knowledge and experience.
• Wyoming Knott (Wyoh) - a young and energetic woman who is also one of the revolution's leaders. She passionately believes in freedom and justice and plays a key role in the fight for independence.
• Mike (Mycroft Holmes) - a supercomputer with artificial intelligence who becomes Manny's friend and ally. Mike helps plan and execute the revolution using his computational power and analytical abilities.
