Nine Princes in Amber

Brief Overview

The protagonist, Corwin, wakes up in a hospital with no memory of who he is. Gradually, he regains his memories and learns that he is one of the Nine Princes in Amber, an immortal kingdom that is the center of all realities. Corwin decides to reclaim the throne that was usurped by his brother Eric. Along the way, he encounters intrigues, betrayals, and magical dangers. Corwin undergoes numerous trials, including traveling through Shadows—alternate realities that surround Amber. By the end of the book, Corwin gathers an army and begins a war against Eric to reclaim his rightful place on the throne.
