Main Characters and Their Development

• Gena the Crocodile - the main character of the book, working as a crocodile in a zoo. He is kind, responsive, and always ready to help his friends. Throughout the book, Gena shows leadership qualities by organizing the construction of the House of Friendship and helping other characters.
• Cheburashka - a small, scientifically unknown creature with big ears who becomes Gena's best friend. Cheburashka is kind, naive, and curious. Throughout the book, he learns about friendship and mutual support, becoming an important part of the team.
• Shapoklyak - the antagonist of the book, an elderly woman who enjoys causing trouble. She has a rat named Lariska who helps her in her mischief. By the end of the book, Shapoklyak realizes her mistakes and decides to change, becoming more kind-hearted.
• Galya - a girl who becomes a friend to Gena and Cheburashka. She helps them build the House of Friendship and participates in their adventures. Galya represents kindness and a willingness to help.
• Lariska - Shapoklyak's rat, who assists her in her mischief. Although Lariska does not have significant character development, she plays an important role in the plotlines involving Shapoklyak.
