Main Characters and Their Development

• Berra — a boy who wants to find a grandfather to learn how to whistle. He is kind, caring, and curious. Throughout the book, he finds a grandfather in a retirement home and forms a warm relationship with him.
• Ulf — Berra's best friend, who helps him in his search for a grandfather. He supports Berra and shares all the adventures with him. Ulf also learns to appreciate friendship and family ties.
• Berra's Grandfather — an elderly man living in a retirement home. Initially, he seems stern and distant, but gradually opens up to Berra and Ulf, revealing his kindness and wisdom. He teaches Berra to whistle and shares his memories with him.
