Brief Overview

The main character of the book, Logan Thibault, a Marine, finds a photograph of a young woman while serving in Iraq. Believing this photograph brings him luck, he decides to find this woman after returning home. Logan travels to North Carolina, where he meets Beth Green, the woman from the photograph, and her son Ben. Gradually, a romantic connection develops between them, but Logan hides the true reason for his arrival. It soon becomes clear that Beth's ex-husband, Keith, is not ready to let her and their son go. The story revolves around the struggle for love and happiness, overcoming the past, and finding new meaning in life.
