Main Characters and Their Development

• Viola - the main heroine who, after a shipwreck, finds herself in Illyria and, to survive, disguises herself in men's clothing, taking the name Cesario. She falls in love with Duke Orsino but becomes entangled in a love triangle due to her masquerade.
• Orsino - the Duke of Illyria, in love with Countess Olivia. He uses Cesario (Viola) as an intermediary to convey his love messages, unaware of her true identity.
• Olivia - a wealthy countess who rejects Orsino's advances but falls in love with Cesario, not knowing it is actually Viola.
• Sebastian - Viola's twin brother, who also survives the shipwreck and eventually arrives in Illyria, leading to many comedic situations and misunderstandings.
• Malvolio - the steward in Olivia's household, who becomes the victim of a prank by other servants and falls in love with his mistress, leading to his humiliation.
• Feste - Olivia's fool, who plays an important role in the plot by commenting on and mocking the events unfolding around him.
