Main Characters and Their Development

• Lestat de Lioncourt — the main character of the book, a young French aristocrat who becomes a vampire. At the beginning of the book, he is depicted as a man seeking adventure and freedom. After becoming a vampire, he undergoes numerous trials, trying to understand his new nature and find his place in the world. Lestat possesses charisma, audacity, and a thirst for knowledge, making him one of the most vivid characters in the book.
• Gabrielle de Lioncourt — Lestat's mother, who also becomes a vampire. At the start of the book, she is terminally ill, but after becoming a vampire, she gains new life and strength. Gabrielle is characterized by her independence and love of freedom, preferring to wander and explore the world rather than adhere to traditional roles of mother and wife.
• Nicolas de Lenfent — Lestat's best friend from his human life, a talented musician. After Lestat becomes a vampire, Nicolas feels betrayed and abandoned. He eventually becomes a vampire himself but cannot cope with his new nature and ultimately goes mad.
• Armand — an ancient vampire, leader of a vampire coven in Paris. At the beginning of the book, he appears as a mysterious and powerful character trying to control Lestat. However, as the story unfolds, Armand is revealed to be a more complex and vulnerable character, seeking understanding and love.
• Marius de Romanus — an ancient vampire who becomes Lestat's mentor. He possesses vast knowledge and experience accumulated over centuries. Marius helps Lestat understand the history of vampires and their place in the world, as well as teaches him to control his powers and desires.
