Main Characters and Their Development

• Osceola — the main character, leader of the Seminoles. He is a brave, determined, and noble leader who fights for his people's freedom against American invaders. Throughout the narrative, he demonstrates strategic thinking and deep devotion to his people.
• Ralph Roland — a young officer in the American army who becomes a friend of Osceola. He is an honest, fair, and noble man who gradually realizes the injustice of the war against the Seminoles and begins to sympathize with their struggle.
• Edith Hastings — Ralph Roland's beloved. She is a beautiful and kind-hearted girl who also sympathizes with the Seminoles and supports Ralph in his quest for justice.
• Moccasin — a loyal friend and ally of Osceola. He is devoted to his leader and people, showing courage and a willingness to sacrifice for the common cause.
