Main Characters and Their Development

• John Walker - the eldest of the Walker children, captain of the «Swallow». He is responsible and decisive, showing leadership qualities and care for the younger ones.
• Susan Walker - the second eldest, she serves as the mate and cook on the «Swallow». Susan is caring and practical, often taking on household duties.
• Titty Walker - the third eldest, a dreamy and creative girl. She loves to make up stories and has a vivid imagination.
• Roger Walker - the youngest of the Walker children, he is energetic and curious. Roger often finds himself in amusing situations but is always ready for adventure.
• Nancy Blackett - one of the «Amazons», captain of the «Amazon». She is brave, determined, and has a strong character.
