Summary

The novella «The Shot» by Alexander Pushkin tells the story of a mysterious officer named Silvio, who lives in a small town and is renowned for his shooting skills. Silvio keeps his past life a secret, but one day he shares a story about being insulted by a young count and being unable to take revenge due to the count's indifference to life.
