«Eugene Onegin» is a novel in verse written by Alexander Sergeyevich Pushkin. The main character, Eugene Onegin, is a young nobleman who, due to his cynicism and skepticism, becomes disillusioned with life and people. He moves from St. Petersburg to the countryside, where he meets the young Tatyana Larina. Tatyana falls in love with Onegin, but he rejects her feelings. Years later, when they meet again, Tatyana is married to someone else, and Eugene realizes he has lost his only chance for true love.
