Summary

«The Masque of the Red Death» is a tale about Prince Prospero, who attempts to escape a terrifying epidemic known as the Red Death by secluding himself in his fortified abbey with a hundred other aristocrats. He hosts a magnificent masquerade ball in seven rooms, each decorated in its own color. In the midst of the celebration, a mysterious figure appears, dressed as a victim of the Red Death. Prince Prospero confronts the uninvited guest but meets his demise. Shortly after, all the guests perish, and the Red Death prevails, demonstrating that no one can escape their fate.
