Brief Overview
«The Cask of Amontillado» is a tale of revenge written by Edgar Allan Poe. The protagonist, Montresor, harbors a grudge against his acquaintance Fortunato and decides to exact his revenge. He lures Fortunato into his catacombs under the pretense of tasting a rare wine, Amontillado.
