Implementation Notes
- Allow the child to be independent. Give them the opportunity to make decisions and learn from their mistakes, supporting them in this process.
- Create a safe environment for experimentation. Provide the child with a space where they can try new things without fear of punishment or judgment.
- Do not intervene unnecessarily. Give the child a chance to handle tasks on their own before offering help.
- Develop self-regulation skills. Help the child learn to manage their emotions and behavior through discussion and practice.
- Support initiative. Encourage the child to propose their ideas and solutions, even if they seem ineffective to you.
- Respect the child's personal space. Allow them to have their secrets and personal boundaries.
- Provide emotional support. Be there when the child needs comfort or advice, but do not impose your opinion.
- Teach the child to plan and organize their time. Help them create schedules and set goals.
- Encourage responsibility. Give the child tasks that require responsibility and trust them to complete them.
- Be a role model. Demonstrate through your behavior how you handle difficulties and make decisions.
