Main Characters and Their Development

• Ryu — the protagonist, a young man living in the suburbs of Tokyo. He spends his time with friends, indulging in drugs and alcohol. Ryu feels an inner void and alienation, perceiving his life as meaningless. Gradually, he begins to realize the need for change but doesn't know how to break free from the vicious cycle.
• Lily — Ryu's friend, who is also drawn to drugs and alcohol. She often finds herself in difficult situations and suffers from internal conflict. Lily seeks love and understanding but cannot find them in the world around her.
• Ko — Ryu's friend, who also lives in a world of drugs and parties. He tries to find his place in life, but his search often leads to disappointment and problems.
• Ray — another friend of Ryu, who, like the others, is immersed in a world of drugs and casual relationships. He struggles with inner demons but often finds himself at a dead end.
• Mari — a girl from Ryu's circle, who also experiences inner emptiness and alienation. She searches for meaning in life but cannot find it in the surrounding reality.
