Main Characters and Their Development

• Mari Asai — a young woman spending the night in Tokyo, avoiding going home. She is introverted and prefers solitude, but throughout the night, she meets various people who help her open up and better understand herself.
• Eri Asai — Mari's older sister, who is in a state of mysterious sleep. She is beautiful and successful, but her life is filled with hidden fears and insecurities, reflected in her condition.
• Takahashi Tatsuya — a student and jazz musician who knows Mari and assists her throughout the night. He is good-natured and seeks to find his place in life, making him an important figure in Mari's development.
• Kaoru — a former female wrestler who manages the hotel «Alphaville». She is strong and independent, helping Mari in a difficult situation, demonstrating care and support.
• A wide range of secondary characters who interact with Mari and influence her perception of the world, including a mysterious man who watches Eri through a television.
