Main Characters and Their Development

• Meggie Cleary – the daughter of Paddy and Fee Cleary, the central figure of the saga. From an early age, she exhibits stubbornness and strength of spirit, along with extraordinary beauty. As the story progresses, Meggie transforms from a naive girl into a strong, determined woman willing to do anything for her family's happiness.
• Paddy Cleary – the head of the Cleary family, an Irish farmer. He moved to Australia in search of a better life for his family. He is characterized as hardworking, honest, but sometimes stubborn. Over time, he becomes a respected member of the community.
• Fee Cleary – Paddy's wife, Meggie's mother. Initially portrayed as a delicate yet resolute woman who always supports her husband. As the narrative unfolds, she is revealed to be a strong-willed person capable of great sacrifices for the family's well-being.
