Main Characters and Their Development

• Eddard (Ned) Stark: Lord of Winterfell and Warden of the North. Ned is an honest and noble man who becomes embroiled in court intrigues under King Robert Baratheon. His pursuit of justice and truth leads to tragic consequences for him and his family.
• Catelyn Stark: Wife of Eddard Stark and mother of five children. She is devoted to her family and willing to do anything to protect them. Catelyn plays a significant role in political intrigues and conflicts, seeking revenge for the attack on her son Bran.
