Main Characters and Their Development

• Celaena Sardothien - the main character who undergoes significant development in this book. She travels to Wendlyn to train with the Fae Rowan Whitethorn and learn to control her magical abilities. Along the way, she confronts her inner demons and accepts her true identity as Aelin Galathynius, the Heir of Fire and rightful Queen of Terrasen.
• Rowan Whitethorn - a Fae warrior who becomes Celaena's mentor. Initially cold and harsh, his loyalty and care for Celaena are revealed as the story progresses. Their relationship evolves from hostility to deep understanding and friendship.
• Chaol Westfall - the Captain of the Royal Guard who remains in Rifthold, trying to navigate the political intrigues of the court. He struggles with internal conflicts related to his loyalty to the king and his feelings for Celaena.
• Dorian Havilliard - the Prince of Adarlan, who begins to realize his magical abilities. He faces the danger posed by his father and tries to find his place in a world where magic is forbidden.
• Manon Blackbeak - a witch from the Blackbeak Clan, tasked with leading a squadron of wyverns. She develops as a leader and begins to question the brutal methods of her clan.
