Main Characters and Their Development

• Anton Gorodetsky - the main character, an employee of the Night Watch. He starts as an ordinary mage, but as the story progresses, his abilities and understanding of the world of Others significantly grow. He goes through internal conflicts and moral dilemmas, making him more mature and aware.
• Geser - the head of the Night Watch, a powerful mage. He is wise and strategic, often manipulating situations to achieve his goals. His character is revealed through his actions and decisions, which sometimes seem harsh but are always aimed at maintaining balance.
• Svetlana Nazarova - a young woman with immense magical potential. At the beginning of the book, she is unaware of her abilities, but as the story unfolds, she becomes a key figure in the struggle between the Light and the Dark.
• Zavulon - the head of the Day Watch, Geser's adversary. He is charismatic and cunning, always seeking power and control. His actions often aim to undermine the Night Watch, but he also adheres to a certain code of honor.
• Olga - a former powerful witch, now an employee of the Night Watch. At the beginning of the book, she is in the form of an owl as punishment for past misdeeds, but later regains her human form. Her experience and knowledge play a crucial role in the plot's development.
• Igor Teplov - a young Night Watch employee who undergoes a transformation into a mage. His character evolves from an inexperienced novice to a confident Other, ready to make important decisions.
