Main Characters and Their Development

• Ye Wenjie: An astrophysicist who survived the Cultural Revolution in China. She becomes a key figure in the contact with the alien civilization Trisolaris. Her tragic past and disillusionment with humanity lead her to decide to help the Trisolarans invade Earth.
• Wang Miao: A nanotechnologist who becomes a central character in investigating strange events related to the scientific community. He discovers the game «Three Body», which turns out to be a simulation of the Trisolaran world. Wang Miao gradually realizes the scale of the threat and becomes an important participant in the resistance.
• Shi Qiang: A police detective with unconventional methods. He assists Wang Miao in the investigation and becomes his reliable ally. Shi Qiang possesses sharp intellect and intuition, allowing him to uncover complex conspiracies and betrayals.
• Ding Yi: A physicist who also plays a crucial role in scientific research and the fight against the Trisolarans. He helps Wang Miao and Shi Qiang understand the nature of the threat and develops strategies to counter the alien civilization.
