Main Characters and Their Development

• Luo Ji - the protagonist, an astrophysicist who becomes a «wallfacer» (a person whose thoughts are hidden from the Trisolarans). His development progresses from an indifferent and apathetic individual to a key figure in the fight against the alien threat.
