Forest Dark

Brief Overview

In the novel «Forest Dark» by Nicole Krauss, two parallel stories unfold. The first story follows Jules Epstein, a successful lawyer from New York, who, after the death of his parents and a divorce, decides to travel to Israel to make sense of his life and leave a legacy. The second story is about a writer, also from New York, who is experiencing a creative block and personal difficulties. She too travels to Israel, hoping to find inspiration and answers to her questions. In Israel, their paths cross, and both characters encounter mysterious events that lead them to reevaluate their lives and understand that reality may be more complex and layered than they had imagined.
