Summary

«The Dark Tower II: The Drawing of the Three» continues the tale of Roland Deschain, the last gunslinger, on his quest to reach the Dark Tower. Following the events of the first book, Roland finds himself on the shore of an ocean, where he is attacked by monstrous lobstrosities. After losing several fingers, he is forced to continue his journey despite his injuries and infection. Along the way, he discovers three doors leading to different times and places in our world. Through the first door, he encounters Eddie Dean, a heroin addict from 1980s New York, whom he rescues from a dangerous situation and makes his ally. The second door leads him to Odetta Holmes, a woman with dissociative identity disorder, also from New York, but from the 1960s. Roland helps her confront her inner demons and joins her to his quest. The third door opens a path to Jack Mort, a cruel man responsible for many tragedies, including Odetta's misfortune. Roland intervenes in his life to prevent further harm. Ultimately, Roland, Eddie, and Odetta, now known as Susannah, unite to continue their journey to the Dark Tower, despite the challenges and dangers that lie ahead.
