Main Characters and Their Development

• Clayton Riddell — the main character, an artist who finds himself in the midst of chaos after a mysterious signal transmitted through mobile phones turns people into crazed killers. Clayton tries to survive and find his family, facing numerous dangers and horrors. As the story unfolds, he becomes more determined and willing to do anything to save his loved ones.
• Tom McCourt — an older man who becomes Clayton's ally. He helps him deal with the aftermath of the signal and becomes a loyal friend. Tom shows wisdom and resilience despite his age and physical limitations.
• Alice Maxwell — a young girl who joins Clayton and Tom. She demonstrates courage and determination despite her youth. Alice becomes an important member of the group and helps them survive in the new conditions.
• Dan — a teenager who also joins Clayton's group. He is dealing with the loss of his family and trying to find his place in the new world. Dan shows bravery and resourcefulness despite his age.
• Ray Huwer — a former soldier who joins Clayton's group. He possesses military skills and helps the group combat dangers. Ray becomes an important strategist and protector of the group.
