Main Characters and Their Development

• Jake Epping: The protagonist, a schoolteacher from Lisbon Falls, Maine. He discovers a time portal leading to 1958 and decides to use this opportunity to prevent the assassination of President John F. Kennedy. In the process, he assumes the alias George Amberson and starts a new life in the past.
