Main Characters and Their Development

• Francis of Assisi - the main character of the book, who transitions from a wealthy young man to a poor monk dedicated to serving God and helping the poor. His spiritual development and pursuit of simplicity and humility are central themes of the work.
• Leon - a loyal friend and follower of Francis, who accompanies him throughout his journey. Leon also undergoes inner changes, inspired by Francis's example.
• Clare - a young woman from a wealthy family who, inspired by Francis, decides to renounce luxury and dedicate her life to serving God. She becomes the founder of the Order of Poor Clares.
