Main Characters and Their Development

• Fillyjonk - one of the main characters who comes to Moominvalley seeking peace and order. She is experiencing an internal crisis and tries to cope with feelings of loneliness and anxiety. In the process, she learns to accept herself and her fears.
• Hemulen - a botanist who also comes to Moominvalley in search of solitude and the opportunity to pursue his research. He gradually realizes that he misses companionship and needs other people.
• Mymble - a young girl who seeks adventure and new experiences. She is full of energy and enthusiasm but also faces the need to understand herself and her desires.
• Toffle and Viffle - two small creatures who are always together and speak their own language. They symbolize friendship and mutual understanding, and their presence helps other characters realize the importance of close relationships.
• Gaffsie - an elderly lady who comes to Moominvalley to find meaning in life and understand what she truly needs. She undergoes a process of self-analysis and finds inner peace.
• Moomintroll - although he does not appear in the book, his absence is felt by all the characters. They remember him and his family, which helps them realize the importance of home and family.
