Summary
The novel "The Haunting of Hill House" tells the story of a group of people who gather in an old mansion known as Hill House to investigate paranormal phenomena. Dr. John Montague, a scientist with an interest in the supernatural, invites three individuals to join him: Eleanor Vance, a shy young woman with a past linked to poltergeists; Theodora, an eccentric artist with telepathic abilities; and Luke Sanderson, the future heir of the house. As they spend time in the house, strange and frightening events begin to occur, challenging their sanity and forcing them to confront their own fears and inner demons. At the center of the narrative is Eleanor, whose mental state gradually deteriorates under the house's sinister atmosphere, leading to a tragic conclusion.
