Main Characters and Their Development

• Katrina Van Tassel - the daughter of a wealthy farmer, a beautiful young woman who becomes the object of attention for both Ichabod Crane and Brom Van Brunt. She is portrayed as flirtatious and calculating, using her charm to manipulate her suitors.
• Brom Van Brunt - a local hero, strong and brave, known for his determination and physical strength. He is also Ichabod's rival in the pursuit of Katrina's heart. Brom is known for his jokes and pranks, and he is likely behind Ichabod's disappearance, using his knowledge of Crane's superstitions.
