Main Characters and Their Development

• Ruy Blas — the main character, a servant who, thanks to his intellect and talent, becomes the prime minister of Spain. He is in love with the queen and strives to serve her and the country, but his origins and the intrigues of his enemies put him in a difficult position. Ultimately, he sacrifices himself to save the queen's honor.
• The Queen of Spain — a young widow who suffers from loneliness and political intrigues. She sees in Ruy Blas not only a talented statesman but also a person capable of understanding and supporting her. Their relationship develops against the backdrop of political and personal trials.
• Don Cesar de Bazan — a noble but impoverished nobleman who is a double of Ruy Blas. His appearance adds further complications to the lives of the main character and the queen.
