Main Characters and Their Development

• Nora Seed — the main character of the book, who is in a state of depression and disappointment with life. She faces numerous failures and decides to end her life. However, she ends up in The Midnight Library, where she is given the opportunity to live different versions of her life based on other choices. In the process, she realizes the value of life and the importance of self-acceptance.
• Mrs. Elm — the librarian in The Midnight Library, who helps Nora navigate her alternate lives. She acts as a mentor and supports Nora in her journey through various possibilities.
• Dan — Nora's former fiancé, with whom she broke up before the wedding. In one of the alternate lives, Nora explores the possibility of staying with him but realizes it wouldn't bring her happiness.
• Ravi — Nora's brother, with whom she has a complicated relationship. In one of the lives, Nora tries to reconnect with him and understand how their relationship could have developed.
• Hugo Lefevre — a man Nora meets in one of the alternate lives. He is also traveling through his possible lives and shares his experiences with Nora, helping her understand that she is not alone in her search.
