Main Characters and Their Development

• Richard Mayhew - the main character, an ordinary young man from London whose life drastically changes after meeting an injured girl named Door. He finds himself drawn into the world of London Below, where he gradually discovers courage, determination, and the ability to sacrifice.
• Door - a girl from London Below with the ability to open any door. After her family's murder, she seeks answers and justice. During her journey with Richard, she demonstrates strength, wisdom, and resolve.
• Marquis de Carabas - a mysterious and charismatic inhabitant of London Below who assists Richard and Door. He possesses sharp wit, cunning, and manipulation skills, but also shows loyalty and a willingness to risk for friends.
• Hunter - a strong and skilled warrior hired to protect Door. She displays incredible combat skills and dedication to her mission but also faces internal conflicts and questions of honor.
• Mr. Croup and Mr. Vandemar - antagonists, hired assassins pursuing Door. They embody cruelty and ruthlessness but also possess a strange sense of humor and twisted logic.
