Main Characters and Their Development

• D'Artagnan - a Gascon nobleman, serves as a lieutenant in the royal musketeers. Twenty years later, he remains loyal to his duty and the king, showing significant personal growth, and remains as brave and devoted to his friends as ever.
• Athos - real name Count de la Fère. Lives as a recluse, far from court intrigues, raising his adopted son Raoul. Exhibits nobility and wisdom, while maintaining his leadership qualities.
• Porthos - a strongman and valiant musketeer, eager for adventures and chivalric deeds. Continues to seek opportunities to demonstrate his strength and courage, dreaming of a noble title.
• Aramis - a former musketeer who has joined the clergy and aspires to a high position in the church hierarchy. Uses his intellect and charm to achieve his goals, while remaining loyal to his friends.
• Milady de Winter - her fate is closely intertwined with the four musketeers, but in «Twenty Years After», her story continues through her son Mordaunt.
